Well, I’ve been remiss in updating this site. Some changes in my photo environment have made the updates enough harder that I never seem to get to them. Anyway, thought I’d populate with some news here.
The fall flew by, with some nice trips involved. Ben got invited to mentor and judge at an entrepreneurship competition in Kiev, Ukraine. This was fun and profitable!
We also took a brief trip out to visit Ariana in LA in November, then had Thanksgiving with Ross and Hollie at their place. We’d only expected to intersect with them both very briefly between their various shifts, but we lucked out and they got freed up a bit more than expected. It was a fine time!
Kathy celebrated her 60th in December. We had a small dinner party at a local restaurant, essentially “family only”, with some surprise visitors: Ariana, Karen & Jeff, and Celia & Dan. Ariana stayed through her own birthday, then flew on home to keep up with her tutoring business.
Christmas found us driving down to Virginia to visit with Al & Carole, stopping overnight in Baltimore to visit with Liz and one of her sons and his family. Another surprise visit from Lisa and two of her crew at the river house. So a bit more festive than just us and Kathy’s parents!
The new year finds us looking forward to another overseas trip for Ben, this time to Mumbai and Ahmedabad in India, again to talk about entrepreneurship. We’re also hoping for a bike trip or sailing trip sometime this year, but no plans are yet set.
We’re continuing to try to increase our activity levels, especially outdoors – road biking, mountain biking, hiking, and XC skiing. So keeping busy, but definitely trying to enjoy life in the process.
