*Strawberry Dessert

Serves 4

  • 1.5 teaspoons Balsamic vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/8 – 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

 Mix the vinegar, sugar, and pepper.  Add the strawberries in a deep bowl. Let “marinate” for at least 1/2 hour; the strawberries should yield their juice to the compote.

Server over lemon frozen yogurt or sorbet.
