Whaling

We booked ourselves onto the high-spead Zodiac whale watching tour out of Tiverton. A place called Ocean Explorations, started and run by Tom  Goodwin. Our trip was fabulous! The Bay of Fundy was smooth as glass, and we saw many humpback whales. Toward the southern end of our trip we came into a group of four or six whales feeding in the same area. Some of them were "lunge feeding", where they go under, blow out a bunch of bubbles to push the krill to the surface, then come up to the surface with their jaws open. Very cool!

The space suits are for flotation and warmth. Even with no wind and a warm day it gets quite cool out on the 50ºF water, especially when one starts moving at 35mph. Ocean Explorations also gets very high marks from us.
