We spent three nights at the Sail Inn in Lunenburg. Run by an old salt named Keith it's in one of the quaint old houses that are the norm in Lunenburg. We highly recommend the Sail Inn - Jacuzzis in the rooms, and a breakfast to die for, served up by the very friendly staff.
The first night we ate dinner at Fleur de Sel, a very upscale restaurant. The food and service were both top-notch. The second dinner was at Dockside, which was OK, but in no way outstanding - they would do well to have something other than Moosehead on tap. The third night we went to Magnolia's Grill, a small and less formal place than Fleur de Sel, but the food there was really excellent. We especially liked the house specialties of Creole Peanut Soup, and Lobster Fettucini.
From Lunenburg we had two all-day adventures: a bike trip out to a nature park called "The Ovens" and a kayak trip the following day.
On this page we have some of the sights of Lunenburg itself.
