Ben and Kathy spent a week with Celia and Dan at their Lake House - next to Cliff House, which was rented for the summer.
We had entirely too much great food and wine, both at home and out. Did some hiking, sailing, kayaking, and motor boating. Ben also played hockey with some of his old teammates. All capped by a performance of Rocky Horror Show at the Hangar Theater.
On the way home we finally took the time to stop at the caverns up near Duanesburg, NY. From I-88 we've been seeing the signs for Howe Caverns for many years and have always said we ought to check them out. This time we did - almost. We actually went to Secret Caverns next door, instead, because reviews on the web told us that the tour was shorter, and the caves were in a more natural state, both of which we wanted. Very impressive, and very different from our other caving experience at Luray Caverns in VA. Definitely worth the stop. Still have to try Howe's Cave sometime...
