On MLK day Kathy and Ben went to see a Celtics game from a "premium box" sponsored by a friend of Boston Harbor Angels. Always a fun experience to live high on the hog even though the Celts squandered an 11-point halftime lead and went on to lose the game 99-90.
The next weekend we took advantage of a beautiful Saturday afternoon to try cross country skiing for the first time in more than 30 years. We drove out to nearby Great Brook Farm, where they have trails and rent equipment and off we went. Skied for about an hour and a half. Looked pretty shaky at first, but soon got the hang of it. Quite different from downhill, and with that equipment we felt like there was basically no control: stopping and turning were accidental at best. But it was fun, and who knew we had those particular muscles (we did the next day).
