The Cape, Memorial Day

Ben, Kathy, Rick & Gitte headed off to Wellfleet for Memorial Day weekend. to catch a benefit concert for Outer Cape Health Services and just enjoy getting away.

The concert, hosted by legendary cellist, Bernard Greenhouse of the Beaux Arts Trio, now 95 years old, was fabulous. The Fry Street Quartet was the high point, performing Dvorak's "American". Very nice, indeed.

Before the concert we walked around Wellfleet, stopping in at various galleries and visiting the harbor. Had dinner at Mac's Shack, which smelled a little fishy, but the food was excellent.

Next morning we had brunch at cousin Tom's and Jill's spectacular house in Truro, then up to Race Point beach and Provincetown. Back to the Inn at Duck Creeke for the night. Next morning we had a fabulous breakfast at Laura & Tony's Kitchen on the Wellfleet Eastham line, then drove down for a quick stop in Chatham before braving the traffic back to Boston.
