Kathy and Ben went over to England in September. We stayed in Abingdon for a few days to help Ben’s cousin Amatsia celebrate his big birthday in a three-day bash with tons of cousins and friends from around the world. I may put up some photos of that event, but not in this post. Ben’s sister and brother-in-law were also along for the trip, and the four of us spent a few extra days in London at cousin Federica’s place.
QEII passed away just as Kathy and Ben landed at Heathrow. Quite a momentous time there, and that curtailed some of our sightseeing, as most of the royal properties were closed. But we went up to the Sky Garden in the “walkie talkie” building and enjoyed the tremendous views, had an extravagant, 18 course lunch at Hunan restaurant, and took a trip to Greenwich, where we visited the Maritime Museum, taking the Uber Boat back to London.
Lots of photos here.
